    Three shots of the Black Diamond Bridge, which connects Wilkes-Barre and Kingston, PA.

    Trains of The Norfolk Southern RR use this bridge a number of times per day.

    This bridge was by The Pennsylvania Steel Company of Steelton, PA in 1914. The PSC was acquired shortly thereafter by Bethlehem Steel. This Steelton mill ended its existence as a part of Bethlehem Steel, though some parts of it still produce items on a smaller scale.rail

      Hi, Golgotha, the bridge appears to be sound, as it passes inspections and is maintained well. What you see is surface rust, which should be addressed, but obviously has not yet been yet. From experience, i think that a treatment with POR 15 would be a valid way to treat this issue......thank you for your input.
