I discovered this vintage Royal Albert, Fine Bone China, Greenwood Tree Tea Set at an estate auction in Regina, Saskatchewan in the summer of 2018. The Greenwood Tree pattern, and especially the coffee & teapots is/are considered somewhat rare by collectors of Royal Albert China. A quite delicate china. One of my favourite tea sets!

Very nice, I used to love auctions in Regina, but many years ago. I thought Regina had no more auctions or auctioneers. Beautiful pattern !~

Thank you, AdeleC. I don’t know whether this Greenwood Tree pattern was the earliest Royal Albert to use this teacup style, but it might be. Perhaps someone else knows. I know I have a set of Royal Albert American Beauty that was manufactured at about (what I thought was) the same time, and it has the wide mouth cups.

PhilDMorris: Thank you. The auction was at a large church community centre just north off Grant Drive which intersects the south end of Broad Street west of the university. I also bought a full set of Royal Doulton Melrose. Estate of a church member. Professional auctioneer — Maybe.
