I just purchased this .... gosh I am on a roll but not spending much money so can speculate a little . Being retired you have a lot of time on your hands to do lovely things !!!!!I am only making the suggestion that this could be Dorrie Nossiters work because I found the blue set ( as shown in last images ) which was sold at Bonhams in 2009 as by Dorrie Nossiter. I think there are some similarities of design. The brooch I purchased has pink tourmaline, peridot and Aquamarine ( or so it says ) . It has little silver balls in the decoration .
Updated. Received this beauty and am wearing it out today to perk up my spirits! It is better in hand than in the images ????
So pretty with the various shapes and colors!
So pretty!
Lovely, but not by Nossitor. The designs are similar, but Nossitor's construction work is quite distinctive. If you have an instagram account, follow Tadema Gallery. Instagram is the best way to be able to enlarge the photos to get a really good look at construction. Nossitor is an easy jeweller to learn to read, she is very consistent in both design & construction (for this period - I actually think there are a few makers in her earlier period, which all get attributed to her).
Hello Watchsearcher yes that’s just why I fell for it, those colour are luscious. Thanks for your comment
Hello Mrstyndall , yes it looks so pretty. The colours got me to press the buy button ! Thanks for your comment.
Hello Jewels1900 , got that! I will study the construction of Dorrie Nossiter. I am a recent member of Instagram. You are right it is quite hard to see the fine detail of pieces on sites. I have been trying this recently and find that detail goes out of focus. Great tip to use Instagram thanks. Whoever made this brooch , and it looks quite well made , at least used a lovely combination of colours. It is really good of you to share your time and knowledge with me, many thanks .
