    US navy button style locket gold colour with no stamps/markings . I looked on line and can only find left facing eagle buttons but no lockets, any info would be very appreciated.

      Stuff! That sounds good to me too! ;)

      Joannespoon, sometimes you have to look very closely on the very edge to find a mark. It also may be underneath the photo on the back, but also not always easy to see. Many times these are 12k gold filled, but when polished, they look as if they are solid gold.

      Forgot to say, usually if it's gold plated, you can actually smell the other metals.
