But what I did buy this weekend, or last weekend I should say were these 3 vintage vases. Now I am not positive but think the one is a Murano Sommerso, the cut off sides kinda throw me, even though I may have seen one that Deano here had? The rest of it seems to fit and it is heavy and thick too. And it would go with my other two, they're just darker. So any opinions are welcome.
*Update- Could this be attributed to Flavio Poli Seguso Faceted Art Glass Vase Sommerso Murano MCM Vetri de Arte 1960??? There is no sticker or no etched signature that i can find, but it just might be!
The taller one on the left in this pic, looks like it's not transparent but it is. It reminds me of a cobalt ash tray i once had that was Fenton but this vase has the remnants of a sticker that says "Made in Italy". At least that's what I see there. So it couldn't be Czech glass either. I'm at a loss with that one too but I couldn't resist it. In fact, I had the counter person set it aside for me a week before till I looked around and when i got home, I realized he never gave it to me. Then, this weekend when i went, it was still there! They don't hold anything for anyone for any reason at that place. So...it was just hiding from everyone till I came back for it!!!
And yes, the 3rd one has me baffled also! I do believe that is silver on there but don't know for sure. And i don't know if you are able to see the bottom of it in the 2nd pic or not. Let me know and I'll try to get a better shot of it.
Any and all opinions, thoughts or even just comments are always appreciated!!!
Thanks everyone! xoxo
All are very nice!
Agree about the Murano sommerso vase, it's beautiful, as are the cobalt pieces - nice haul :)

Jenni, I did see that it is Murano! And can't believe what this is fetching, wowza!!!
I have no idea about the other two though. None. Zilch!
Thanks for always being so kind! You are appreciated!
renedijkstra, yes, that is good news. Even better, because Luigi Onesto is not a familiar name to me, I looked him up and have the heart shaped vase and another which I just forgot the name of...
The real bad news is this; whilst there, I saw a vase Incantesimo – Murrina Vase by Luigi Onesto that I passed up, 2 in fact because they just aren't my cup of tea so to say! DUH! I most likely would have known had I asked to hold them, feel them, touch them. Maybe I would have begun to like that tea after all!
Now for the real question... how in the world does anyone on 1st dibbs ever get that kind of money they are asking, when it's more than the artists' price??? Jeeze
Thank you for stopping in and hitting that love for me!

I have a similar vase: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/242547-small-glass-and-silver-overlay-vase?in=collection-2308
Gudrun, (hope I spelled that correctly) I did see your vase. As I was about to comment, my pc kicked me off and shut down! It's much like this one. Did you ever find out anything about it? I couldn't think how to input the vase but thanks, I do now! And how did you clean yours? Also, seeing your hand holding your vase, it reminded me that i didnt even put any measurements here. This one is a little over 7" tall.
It's funny, when I looked it up using the word overlay, it didn't matter or differ from when i did an image search. What i got was blue and white porcelain vases. I wondered if this were possibly Japanese... Karen??? Where you at mama??? What's your take here?
Oh and kwqd, thank you for the love!!!
Maaaate! That Murano! Score!!
Ok, the overlay vase is not Japanese I don’t think, just not their style.
The little blue flower vase is Japanese. These were made by Tajima Glass and were a take on similar items made by the Czechs and Murano in the 60s/70s.
Ive got a bit of an idea the overlay may be a Czech baby.
Shareurpassion, yes, you spelled my name correctly. Most people can't read it, never mind spell it - LOL.
I cleaned my vase with Goddard's Silver Polish Foam. It comes in a jar with a little sponge. You wet the sponge and dip it in the paste and then polish the item. I am not sure but I think that this method is not as harsh on the items as other silver polishes.
I have never found out who made my vase. It sits on a shelf in a spare room and I almost forgot about it. Your post reminded me of it. Thanks:)
Gudrun:)
LOL! That is funny... Well, I might try some old silver polish on a small spot to see what happens. I'd LOVE to see it shine!!! Thanks doll!
Hi Karen, It just seemed to me that the way the leaves were applied reminded me of Japanese calligraphy. Nothing else but that. I'm surprised at the other one tho. That's cool, Tajima Glass... will have to look them up! I couldn't believe it was still there when i went back. And they had no jewelry i was interested in so i went for the stuff behind the counter. I pretty much look there when i go but main focus has been on jewelry lately. Glad they had none! Oh man, I really need to go over there soon. No one else is out shopping, except for toilet paper!!! lol! Omg people, get creative please!!! lol.
Thanks for the love Mary and bb2!!! xoxo
Beautiful Colors :)
Wow these are all so beautiful! The blue vase with pattern is fab! Whish I knew something about these to tell you :)
The left most vase in the first image is reminiscent of a vase I posted a while back:

well i am 9 months late, because i am too incoherent, i dibbs prices are outrageous but good assessors, you have to buy at small auctionhouses the big 15 auctionhouses are no indication of the value at all
