Can anyone date this fixture and/or does anyone know the manufacturer? I was told it was from Old Salem but I cannot prove or disprove that information.

Hi, I don't know for sure but could be 1930's - 1940's would be my guess. it looks like it would hold a 6" base globe and I have seen similar ones in old photo's with gas pump globes on them.

well they didn't get electric in old Salem till 1920's.. so work from there ...smiling

No doubt I'm late to the party, but I'm curious as to what you discovered about this light. I have an identical one, sans fixture. I got mine in Midcoast Maine.

The manufacturer could very well be Benjamin Electric Co. Looks like it may be from the early 1900's up to the 1930's. Benjamin made heavy-duty cast iron fixtures used in municipalities. I have a similar fixture from an old town building. I hope this info. helps!!!
