Can anyone help identify this toy train ROUNDHOUSE. Pictured below ... I believe it to be made by German manufacture Gescha..as shown above..I would like to know about, what believe to be, ‘ missing roof,,’
I can’t find any pictures or reference to this toy in any toy books or toy catalogs.. please let me know if you know off any thing that may relate to this Roundhouse and anything else relating to these little trains ,,,I only know of three sets they produced between 1939 and the late 1950’s. Thank you for your help,, Tim LaGanke 2164697363 timlaganke@aol.com

Great Pieces! The box does not belong to this toy, and i think the Turntable was not manufactured by Gescha, are there any visible markings in the tinplate Toy itsellf or the tinplate trains? by the look of the pressed steel, seems to be German as well.

Lata , Thank you your quick reply..let me explain, I only showed the picture of one of the Shutting train boxes to show the manufacturers display... I have a number of the sets that Gescha produced, I picked up the turntable/roundhouse at a toy show. With out roof, it has the exact same locking device, and Condor marked engine works perfectly on the track .....the lithograph printing on the building looks similar to the printing on other Gescha train stations. I ma just hoping to learn more about this toy.. again thank you , Tim

I'm not sure that gescha is a specific company. Been trying to get an accurate translation for yrs.. You see it on Nazi pins, for instance. Best I've been able to find, is it means: copyright/patent (maybe pending). I asked a German girl living with me, but I think my timing was really wrong, because all she said was,"Oh my God!!". Joking aside, I hope somebody clears this up for us.

Thanks HiEveryOne. I knew the "a" didn't seem to fit in. You have finally cleared up my confusion, and I hope others. You have a couple of drinks on me, next time you're in SXM.
