Hello CW Members, Followers, Friends and Visitors.
Last few week ago when donation store still running, I found this intriguing porcelain container, I was attracted by it's colour first and decoration, but at the time I add no ideal what it was, until I see few minute ago a post by a member here on CW, IronLace, post something in similar shape that he call "Sugar Castor", make sense for sugar because of the size of the hole on the lid, stamp "Made in England" with the company name "A&Co B" on the lid cap, also "EPNS", Electro Plated Nickel Silver.
Cobalt Blue primary color with a White band decorated with flowers and fruits on the waist, number under the base "4914"

Many thanks to all of you for Viewing.
    Enjoy
    Alan

Many thanks for posting, Alan! This is a very nice example of this type of item. The cobalt blue colour is most appealing. A super find!
Sugar castors were made in a variety of materials, from pottery to glass & silver. I think they were still being made into the Art Deco era but fell out favour after that time. Table settings & dining habits became more casual, & tableware items reflected that change.
Looking forward to the day when we can once again indulge our favourite habit of browsing in op shops, thrift stores, charity shops, flea markets, antiques fairs, etc...

IronLace, I look forward too, believe me, but I am afraid a very dark period is on it's way, individual vanish in an astronomic rate at the moment, some country are touch more than other, just around myself, I add being improve few time already by the lost of few good friends, one of them was a kind of mentor for me in glass collecting field, he help me a lot, we talk a lot together of glass, he add an impressive Moorcroft collection, his wife as to sell that collection, and you know right now it's not really the time for sale non essential thing.
Anyway, I hope you and your beloved families stay safe and well on this hard time now, we all hope for the best in near future.
      Alan
