This glass was all produced in Czechoslovakia between 1920-1935

For this last post in a series I’ll explore showing glass pieces in a similar technique or pattern; I dare not use the word “decor” because I don’t know what these decors were called. If the same technique was used it might be two different decors (according to their production catalog); also, these same techniques might be two different companies!

If we focus (focal point) on the techniques they help to tie in different colors, shapes and sizes. This technique or pattern matching helps to match pieces that are very far apart on the shape dimensions or color spectrum

Although I have placed all of these decors in my Ruckl folder I won’t address what evidence I have for that attribution in this post- you can just email me and I’ll send you marks, shape studies and such...

All of this glass is cased in clear, with very colorful internal decors, enjoy the pics!

1- New peloton technique. Focal point: spaghetti glass application.
Made with threads application into tango colors with thick outer casing

2- Confetti with windows- focal point: don’t know!
Made using tango color with fused cased glass application (leaving spaces) then cased in clear glass. I believe this piece is made with pieces of crystal glass thrown in with the colored glass; this leaves “windows”

3- Confetti pull-up over adventurine glass. Focal point: pull-up technique
This technique is a simple and effective way to bring two strongly contrasting colors together... the adventurine gives a surprise starkle to the negative space of the black base color (the adventurine is applied in glass chips as well)

4- Controlled bubble pull-up. Focal point: pull-up or air bubbles.
You can see the similarities from the last pic, the pattern seems to be the same with additional controlled air bubbles. These pieces are very complex with many glass layers and a “paperweight” depth.
I will list the layers lastly to appreciate the complexity:
    1, crystal clear base
    2, white opaque glass
3, pink, green or blue powders added
4, molten adventurine glass applied to the base and pulled up
5, pieces is embossed with air bubbles then shaped
6, crystal clear coat is applied, shaped or reshaped

Cool - I don't think I've ever seen that peloton decor before.

Thank you, I think it was cathartic, opened up a lot of boxes, arranged them on the shelves- repeat- thank you wow and artfoot

Turns out I did have one in my image file - similar to your orange one. Did you buy these in Europe?

Big one in Netherlands, orange one UK or France, yellow one I can’t remember I think US. I remember there is a black wine with red threads I still need. I know Ruckl made confetti with peloton in every color but I prefer these, very 2-dimensional. I have shape matches to orange and yellow but nothing for the white one.... it’s big!

      The white one is amazing.
