These Butler sets are gold plated and enamelled, set with Swarovski crystals. The crystals, where used, are pave set. The dolphins’ rings are navy blue in colour; their eyes are red. If we respect the twenty year line as definition for Vintage, then they might pass that test.
All pieces are marked “Butler” (including all earrings). Sets are in Mint condition.
The Butler family began their company “by cutting and polishing gemstones in their home.” This is a Canadian company. The jewellery is of good quality.
Dolphins — 2 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Green Brooch — 2 1/4” x 1”
Black, Etc. — 3” x 2”
Lovely Butler Fifth Ave sets, very nice to have three dolphin brooches & the matching earrings - I have one of them too it's such a pretty design
Thanks, Jenni — I’m invariably attracted to “sparkle,” lately it seems. Glad you have a dolphin. They’re beautiful.

Much appreciated.
It reminds me of the dolphins at sea world jumping through hoops at Sea World, Big Ben Tribe sang it best :

Gosh I am getting tired, its 5 in the morning and I have had no sleep. The dolphins are particularly beautiful !~
Eileen — I think it might be. The piece is about a mm too long, and extends over the edge ever so slightly on the brooch, so the back is visible to me. And a Canadian company. Did not know it was endangered. The silversmiths who cater to the tourist trade in Banff worked with it extensively about a decade ago.
Phil — Excellent observation. They do look like Sea World dolphins. You were certainly awake until very late, as Eileen has previously stated — Goodness! Thank you for your interesting comments.

Just noticed your gorgeous Butler abalone set, of course my eye went right to the dolphin (and any animal, that's me lol) so I just want to say I think their abalone pieces are among their finest designs, & your set is a gorgeous example. Very nice Daisy!
