Three Butler jewellery sets. Two brooch and earring sets; and a clamper bracelet and earring set. There is extensive use of pave set crystals/rhinestones. All items are of interesting design and very wearable. If we are to accept the twenty year line for identification of Vintage jewellery, these pieces likely would not be appropriately so designated. Butler FAC is a Canadian company that makes nice quality costume jewellery.
I so very much like the first set, even though the brooch is not perfect. I don’t know what would cause what I am seeing on the gold metal band at the forehead — 4th photo.
Beautiful pieces all, I especially love the animal head clamper and gorgeous pierrot face, you have a wonderful collection of this co's jewelry
Eileen — Thanks for your comments. That emerald set is beautiful. I have a (sort of matched) ring that the company made, as well; but the metal is rhodium, whereas this bracelet, earring set is gold plate, so chose to not include it here. I see what you are writing about “vintage” categorization, and though I have a tendency to want to agree — as my personal viewpoint, I wonder what 30-year olds would add to that conversation. I do agree with the 100 year line for antiques ... and so simple.
Jenni — Thank you — I seem to never have a perfect place or perfect time to photograph. Controlling for light is a large problem for me — including various reflection — when working with pieces that are covered with crystals/rhinestones.
