      I would be difficult to say real or not. The factories which made these had lots of unissued pins in stock at the end of WW2. So it could be a real issued item or a left over period pin which was never issued... BUT the factories also kept the dies used to make these pins and continued to produce them after the war. Why? To sell to US GIs who wanted buy souvenirs to bring home.

      Probably fake, by my eye. 50 battles would certainly be well after the RZM code was adapted. Even RZM markings & maker's code are being faked & can fool experts. Probably 50%+ of this stuff on the market is fake and it has made for a skittish market that even affects the real stuff. Buyer beware.
