Which otherwise probably used to be a rather expensive 'commercial grade' aluminum stockpot. Recovered from the backyard of the cleanout house (surprise?) after I otherwise wouldn't let anybody toss it into the (2 now) "scrap metal" loads already hauled beyond the curb from there. Mostly because its lid was otherwise still kicking around out there too, as matter of fact. ;-) :-)

As should be immediately obvious, it'll never see foodservice duty again having probably most recently served as a 'burn bucket' and/or 'target practice' (w/a gun, pic #2), maybe also having had a big tree limb or something dropped on it meanwhiles to "rearrange" it to its current bent to h*ll condition. The lid is still 18-1/2" round and the pot is generally now about 15" deep, despite taking a wire brush to its bottom (and closely examining both sides of its lid, without the brush) I have not been able to find any markings anywhere to suggest who really made it in the first place.

My plan for it is to find a spot outside somewhere where I can drop it (the pot anyway) and transplant an 'elephant ear' that is otherwise completely root bound in a plastic pot in my bedroom window. It already has enough various holes in it to 'drain itself' like outside planters should...or I can drill a few more into its bottom just in case... ? ;-) I'll try to update this post (or add another) when I get around to doing that, mebbe sooner than later because (after all) it IS the right time of year to do such things, and I do suddenly find myself with a little more than usual "free time @ home" at the moment...???

[and yeesh, now comes the time to try to find an appropriate *category* to show this in...?? <lol>]
