This is a really attractive vase from Japan, and in my lowly opinion has almost a Kralik style to the decor. Feel free to correct me.
Made from a sea green glass it has been laid with silver foil that has been burst during blowing. Dark red trails have then been laid in a random pattern over the vessel.
It is a very traditional Japanese shape, and for me the decor totally fits the Japanese aesthetic. The walls of the vase are thinner than much of the glass from Japan of this era and the size is typical at 20cm.
I recently rediscovered this when going through a box from the scary storeroom!

I have some feels about who made this vase but no proof so won't go there.

Karen, I totes thought this was Kralik from the thumbnail...it has a "Pampas" vibe going on...
Love the colour scheme & overlapping patterns. And how good is it to rediscover a forgotten gem?

I know the joy of a forgotten jem and this is a beauty. I particularly love the substantial red trailing!

It's a cheap and fun thing to do, opening stored boxes of glass!
The trails really make this pop I think Peggy, and it's such a Japanese thing to do to use a dirty colour like that on such a pure base.
      Thanks, glad you like it!
