Old Doubleender Sailboat bell

This bell came from a double ender 20+Ft. Sailboat. Was told Sail Boat was made from WWII War Surplus !/4 inch marine mahogany airborne lifeboat that was dropped from wings of airplanes. "Google Airborne lifeboats." Don't know how true the story is but it sounds Good!! When I came across it 40 years ago it was mostly rotted out!! I chain sawed it up and salvaged many pieces!!! They have been under my barn for many years!! Will post other pieces.
