Happy Easter To All! :^D I've been feeding the Birds in our Yard for 5 Months, and will through May, after that they're on their own until November/December again! They have eaten almost 200 pounds of Birdseed, and Peanuts, so far, this Year. Many different Birds come to eat, and because of all the Chatter, and Singing, different Birds are attracted to Our Yard, and Neighborhood. These are just a few of Them!
1st photo are American Goldfinch 4 1/2-5 1/2", pulling Nyjer Thistle, from a Seed Sock, hanging from Our Redwood Tree branch.
2nd is the Common Red-Shafted Flicker 12 1/2-14", I think more of an Insect/Grub eater, but attracted by all the other Birds. They're normally quick to Fly away, hence the Name, but this one was after something in the ground, so I was able to get a Shot of it!
3rd is a zoomed in photo of a Black-Headed Grosbeak 6 1/2-7 3/4", we don't usually see this Bird, so I took what I could get! :^D A Mourning Dove 11-13"peeks in from the corner!
4th photo, is of a White Crowned Sparrow 5 1/2-7", waiting for it's chance to grab some Millet Seed, before another Sparrow chases him away. I also wanted to show the similarities between the White Crowned Sparrow, and the Black-Headed Grosbeak!
We also see Blackbirds, Oregon Juncos , Brown Towhees, Lesser Goldfinch, Sparrows, House Finches, Scrub Jays, Blue Birds, Robins, and Crows, just to mention a few! :^D
It's always fun to watch the Birds interact with each other, and the Squirrels that go after the Sunflower Seeds that are in the Seed mix, and I wonder why Doves, are a Symbol of Peace, because they're always chasing and fighting over the Feed! :^D

Thank You for looking, and all comments are welcome! :^)

Thank you Patricia, I hope that you're doing good! :^D A little Nature, does that for you sometimes, as you well know! :^D

Thanks keramikos, We just finished a Easter Ham Dinner, and early enough, to have a Sandwich later! :^D It doesn't take long with 200+ Birds stopping by the Feeders, to go through that much, and my Wife hasn't started filling the Humming Bird Feeders yet, that always attracts even more! The Mourning Doves, seem the most aggressive, but the larger Ring-Neck Doves, Sound like they are, but just noisy! Peaches loves to sit and watch the Birds, and they stop by to see Her too, maybe a little cautiously though! :^D I hope that you're Safe and Well!

Hi Jenni, thank you, the wooden one on the Table, I made over 20yrs. ago, and the Squirrels have almost chewed through the roof of it, sad but true! The Sock Feeders, only interest the Squirrels for a little while, but the seed is too small, so they leave it alone! :^D I'm glad that you're doing good! :^D

Much Thanks for the love that you gave, MALKEY, Thomas, Patricia, bb2 was here, and keramikos too, Jenni, aura, and Kevin, all appreciated, and Hopes, that you're Safe, and Well! :^)
