Can anyone tell me something about this button? When I googled "Best plated button", I found som buttons from the Civil war that looked a bit like it -especially with the stars in the middle-, but I cant anyone like this with a "s" at the bottom. Can anyone help me identifying, please?

The first image is the back of the button. The front brass cover is missing making it very hard to pin down. You should add the diameter in millimeters, material (brass or steel), and WHERE it was found. It was made in London. For who? You don't know because the front is gone. The wire loop is broken off the back. You can see where it was soldered in place.
