This is for Thomas regarding your comment on my earlier barbed wire post (no pun intended). Yes, barbed wire art comes in many different mediums. This print of an original painting by Dennis Clevenger is one of many. It depicts barbed wire patented by Hiram B. Scutt in 1880. The letters represent his initials. His patent states that large letters could be painted on the 2" square wood blocks or cardboard could be glued to them. He states that it would make an excellent advertising medium. The second photo by the same artist is a collage of many different barbed wire designs.
