Georgian perfume purse

I picked this delightful Georgian perfume purse up in a bundle. First of all, is it a perfume purse and is it Georgian ? The white metal top I'm presuming is nickel and a lovely soft leather pouch. Any tips on cleaning this item would be helpful. It certainly smells of perfume and is probably missing its ribbon or guard.
