Dirty behind belief but I am trying to clean it up. Any ideas will be helpful. I am not sure how old it is either

How WONDERFUL!! I have one similar -- if you can manage to get the cash drawer open there should be labels on its underside to show its model#, age, and probably original owner.

Here's at least most of the guts of mine, as it exists inside all the heavy brass casing and showing its underdrawer label. (other similar machines are also shown here by others) If you can get the curved 'lid' on its top open [hope you have at least a couple of the important keys for the thing...those ain't quite easy to find these days last I checked?) what appears in my 1st pic as a round button right over the 70c key *should* (IIRC?) be accessible from under that lid and is in fact the manual 'cash drawer release' button.
