I know this is a measuring tool. But who made it and how old is it? It has no name or model number. Just a plane old ruler. I know its old because my brother found it in the wall of an old 1800's train station in central kentucky.

The age of the train station has nothing to do with the age of the level. People do remodel over a period of time. I have a couple like this but only one with the rule on it. They are to light and thin to hold accuracy. Mine are from the 1940's I am sure because I got them from the original owner, my father in law. Without being marked who made them will never be known. They are like dollar store items of today. No markings just flood the market with them.

Thank you for responding quickly and honestly. I will let my brother know. I've got a shoe I will post. Maybe someone knows about it.
