It is hard to say definitively without a label what manufacturer made this(Desirable) canvas and leather mid size trunk. It might be a Hat trunk ,Images of the the interior would tell that. I.E. Trays,Bonnet holders ,guides etc.
Having said that I have seen this style of trunk fastener as well as the leather work used by multiple manufacturers T.B. Peddie (of Newark N.J.) ,Virginia trunk and bag, Mendel Co.,Bingham and others.
My first thought was Drucker. Typically due to the Fleur de lis style hardware.I do have my reservations though. There are no images of the interior posted ,Sometimes interiors can give clues. Drucker had patents of interior fabric and padding on the interior lids. I do wonder If the patented image below is on the interior lid?

Below is a link to luggage and leather goods periodical for the entire year 1909.(It's a lot, and that's just one year)
Just scroll down around 3/4 from the bottom and you will find Advertising from many of the makers of this style of trunk .Thanks for the post hope this helps Enjoy!

Drill, thank you for your comment. I have added a couple pictures of the interior. as far as labels, i have been unable to find anything such on any surface of the item.
Thanks for the interior pics. Well it is definitely a Mid sized Hat trunk. It held 6 hats/bonnets.This size was more than likely for a woman. It is still difficult to be sure exactly who made it, without a label. The fabric pattern was typical for the time period. Believe it or not some fabric patterns have trademark or patents. Below are potentially some patent images that could apply to this style of trunk. Some patents were shared/sold to manufacturers others were not.I will search a little more through some of the 1800 patent images that I have collected. Much luck, it's a
nice trunk example of a long gone era.

In an effort to further share with others some trunk history. Here are just some of the many hat trunk and fixture, patent images. There were many makers, styles and inventions over the many years in the trunk industry.Have fun, Enjoy! The full patent description can be found by searching the patent map site for that year , patent number, description and date. Enjoy!
