I found a old speed limit sign. I have been trying to figure out how old it is and if it has any value. I assume it's not going to be much value as it has lost color, but it does still have the bolts and screw. I have searched online for signs and I can't find anything. I found some that are similar, but not the same. All the letters and numbers are the same size and the bolt and screw is in the middle of the word miles, which makes this unique

Welcome to CW Kkane1986. I can't tell you much of anything specific about your exact sign, but that it *certainly* retains an amount of "value". (which is something we're not really supposed to publicly discuss here on this forum) Keep up your googling, there are numerous different groups/forums out there too specifically dedicated to such things. That it appears to be made of steel with embossed lettering and border would strongly suggest to me that it was first made/used in the earlier part of the 1900's when automobiles themselves were a relatively 'new thing' too -- its current bent up/rusty (but original) condition might easily also contribute to its "value" nowadays. THANKS for sharing the pic!

A collector in Pittsburgh recently came up with about a dozen(?) "SPEED LIMIT TWENTY MILES" embossed signs, with TWENTY spelled out, rather the numerals. They are stamped on the back by Signal Service Corp from Elizabeth, NJ, which manufactured traffic signals in the 1930s and early '40s. I don't know if there is a relationship between those and your sign, but I assume you ave something from between the '30s and '50s.
