I've had this thing for years now, having rescued it someplace where I believe it was then currently serving as a "work light", which would explain why it came with nothing but a bare bulb in its socket, along with assorted random paint spatter on its current black painted exterior quite possibly brass in some part under that, if not an original 'radiator gold' paint finish like remains on its bottom. (pic 4, roughly 8" across) Its 'mast' is extendable/collapsible (via a setscrew on the little collar near its midsection) and is roughly fully extended now as it was when I got it (about 4' high) with a roughly 6" long 'arm' fixed to its top holding the light socket with wingnut fittings at each end allowing that part of it to be oriented in numerous possible ways. Its socket and cord are obviously not original, though still functional -- no markings on it anywhere that I've ever found. The little clip-on squareish/pyramidish lampshade on it is a totally contemporary (from Target) thing just because it struck me as one on the shelf there then that might look pretty cool on the old beat-up lamp...I tend to think that's still the case...??
