I’ve added a screw in side as the one in it didn’t hold. Is this old or not? What era? It is heavy engraved 3 on the inside which is copper colored. Thanks

Old Castings usually have tight seams. Newer ones are not so tight???

Normally a casting like this will be marked on the inside. Doesn't look like you used a screw, looks like a self tapping hex head which immediately discounted and value it once had regardless of era or age.

Hi I just put in the hex it’s what I had. prior to that there was a new screw. When held tight seam is tight There is a number 3 stamped on inside. I will search for proper screw to put it together.
