Sorry the pic is sideways. Can’t figure out how flip it.
This belonged to my great grandparents (I’m 40 for reference). I’m really just hoping someone knows what this is called and an approx age. It has a shellac finish. The mirror swivels and is attached with dowels and L brackets, and I believe the L brackets were a later addition. The base of the mirror continues back the full length of the dresser. Both mirrors are beveled. The wheels are also not original and I’m not entirely convinced it originally had wheels. The hardware appears to be original. No nails, only flathead screws. Any info would be much appreciated! Thank you.

I can’t contribute info on the furniture but I can help you with your pictures.
Here’s the trick to straighten your pictures:
Choose the picture to post, then “edit” it in some way such as change dimensions or size, then re-post it and it will be oriented correctly.
      I hope that helps!
      Thanks for posting!

These wide type dovetails with the locking top joint came out during the 1890's and went on in use until around 1920. Before that the actusl joint was much narrower. You are right about the casters not being original.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Any idea what a piece like this would be called? I’m guessing the little cupboard is for a hat...
