Found this hammer in a creek in Davis, Oklahoma. Not found near railroad tracks but under a bridge. Not sure what type of hammer this is or how old. Any information would be appreciated. Overall length is 12”.
Terrible background. Put it on a piece of white paper to take the pictures.
Sorta looks like a really old railroad spike????? Just a guess.
Stuff
Are there any past railroads by Davis Creek??
Stuff
I think Stuff could be right, the face part looks too short for a hammer.
This reminds me of part of a very rusty monkey wrench with one jaw and the adjustment mechanism and wooden handle missing???
Railroad spike fir holding the tracks on the timbers. Very common find in some areas. AS they get loose they are pulled out and tossed in the brush, brook or anywhere and new ones put in.
