I have never seen a walking stick handle with male threads. How did you happen to find out it is a walking stick handle?? The threads look like pipe threads.

This may be for a sword-cane. Can a blade be fitted/anchoured in the recess ?

Possibly a walking flask cane. Allowed the owner to carry a nip of spirits without notice.

bb2 sword cane would explain the coarse thread and being male thread rather than female on the handle.

Need a face on shot of the threaded end.

I'd rather have a sword-cane in case of a close encounter of the 4th kind.

Might seem stupid, but it looks like it might be a tap for turning water on, a tap or a faucet depends where you are

      Cheers
