I am curious about this Vintage solid ceramic ball. It has a blue flowered pattern on it. It was glazed and because of the age you can see the grazing on it. There are no structural to it. I have two others but a bit smaller. This one is approximately 12inches round. At first I though that the pattern was Blue Onion. I also thought it might have been used in a game called "Boule" that is played in France and I think Italy. All is just a guess. If some one knows could you please let me know on Collectors weekly. It is heavy.

Could be a Carpet Bowling Ball. This game was played indoor and popular in Scotland between 1860 and 1880. Ceramic balls were used until about 1895 when they start using wooden or a plastic balls.
