While visiting my friend's new home, she pointed out this old store with this colorful metal sign mounted near the roof. No one around the area has the history or meaning of the sign. Several guesses are swirling around it, most notably that it is a salesman climbing out of a window of a client. Everyone is curious about the who, what, where, when and why behind this guy! Does anyone know??!

Hi RHatmaker, My name is Robby Meyers I grew up in Sharps Chapel. We used to live in the old white house that stood behind this old store. My step dad Clyde Eastridge told me that was a old Coke sign He used hold a gun over his head. I would say that old sign has been painted a hundred times over the years. If you ever have the chance to go into the old store on the left side of the ceiling when walk in from the back door is passage in to a room roof of the building you will find a wooding ben filled with sawdust and maybe a few old wooden barrels I helped built it as a kid I carried the sawdust up in buckets They used to make moonshine there. They got water from the creek. There used to be a water line buried under the road on the left side if the store. The road wasn't paved back then. Thanks for posting this it brought back a lot good memories.
