Very nice! What are the shiny areas? I hope you didn't over clean the metal!! I will let the value police deal with your last question!!

Hello, thank you for your answer.
This tin has been in a shed for over 40 years.
I never knew there was a Texaco stamp in it because of the paint and dirt. Now I am cleaning the shed and I saw that it had a stamp on it. I cleaned up a bit with a steel brush. And to make the stamp visible on the photo, I sprayed on some cheap paint. It has traces of black and red paint. And underneath it seems to be nickel plated. There is little or no rust. The brown color is mainly decayed paint. Where can I find a photo of the same tin in original good condition?
