    This is retro lamp I bought a few years ago. The base seems to not be metal. The lamp has two settings, turning the black knob in the base offers a bright and a dim setting. I would appreciate any ideas about it’s age and history.

      Its the sister lamp to 2 that I have, same wire mesh. They were made in the early 1990's and the bulbs are usually specialty ones for lamps of this type.
