This is the 1967 Edition. It would be interesting to have the First Edition. This is a careful caring book, that helps outline the etiquette of the tumultuous time that was the late 1950s, 1960s. It is not as dated as the first one I posted tonight. And it gives a lot of solid, interesting advice.
My dear, sometimes crazy husband would like me to always speak about myself as “we,” as the book advises; but, unfortunately, I’m likely never going to be there.
Yet, despite its determined carefulness, this book is still missing what would be an important section in later etiquette books — that of Friendship Etiquette; the book might be, perhaps, considered the lesser for it ... by some.
