These are the music books from my ginormous vintage school book collection. My books are mostly from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, with some early 60s in there too. I like to complete series of books, so generally, there was one book per grade per subject in a series.

Hi I was being nostalgic and thinking about the great songbooks we had in elementary school in the late 50's/early 60's and how much I enjoyed our singing time in class. I started looking around for names of some of the songs we sang and found your vintage school music books collection. I was wondering if you could post come of the song title's that are in the books. I of course loved singing America the Beautiful and the Battle Hymn of the Republic but I know there were many more - many having to do with the old west & south (I think?) I remember Old Paint but that wasn't one of my favorites. It's so strange to remember that one vs my favorites. Anyway, you have a great collection and I'd be very excited to hear some of the titles of songs in the books you have. Thanks so much :)
I am looking for one from my elementary school days. I don't know the title of the book. It had the songs Fisher Maiden in it and a Hungarian song called Boots of Shining Leather. Can anyone help? I would love to have it to sing all those songs in it and to bring back memories for me. At present, I am ill with cancer and have much time to think of the past. Thank you.
