Picked this up today and I absolutely love it! Don't know the artist and I don't know what the round disk is all about in the picture on the post. Any help would be appreciated.

The round disk is an early design thumb tack.

Congcu....WOW! Thanks for the information! I almost missed this at the goodwill and what caught my eye was the frame. I looked a little closer and saw the painting and then the signature. What an incredible piece. I would love to know who this person painted was. Any ideas on how to do that? I appreciate you! Hoot,BookSense, fort, stuff,Brunswick and watchsearcher...I APPRECIATE you all!
