What is notable about this vintage $2 Paulson chip, is that it is in amazingly good shape for its age. The gold foil hot stamp is in intact on both sides, and the chip can be stood in its edge. The casino from which it originates, operated in Adelanto Calif, from 1975 top 1997. The casino was torn down....all that remains are the chips. Among the reasons the Hi Desert chips are considered highly collectible, is the casino's decision to defy the chip coloring approach used by Las Vegas Casinos. Orange has traditionally been limited to $1,000 or $50 chips. A $2 orange chip is extraordinarily rare in the casino world.
