Here is a little group of 9 "batons" as would be used by an orchestra conductor. (or choir director, or otherwise person leading a group of musicians in a single common performance)
From the top down (in pics 1 & 2) they are labeled/sized as:
1) (with the typical 'black knob handle/white finish') is "KING DAVID 4B", 22-1/4" long overall
2) unfinished wood, simply marked "No. 120", 22" long
3, 4, & 5) all basically identical wood w/ 3" black painted ends, all "KING DAVID 16B" and 20" long. Interestingly enough two of these have a pencil written 'price' of 70c, the third one cost somebody 75c instead...??)
6) nicely finished maple (?) wood, otherwise completely unmarked, 17-3/4" long
7) like #3-5 with black painted ends, but labeled "KING DAVID 21B", 14" long
8 & 9) identical to #7, but instead of the KING DAVID mark they otherwise bear a stamp reading "CHICAGO SYMPHONY SOCIETY".
4th pic shows that as best as it can be seen, 2nd and 3rd pics show the rest of the marks (or not) on the others.
OK, ALL YOU CRAZY MUSICIAN TYPES -- come to order and lets PLAY this d*mned thing...?!! <LOLOL>
