Have this marlin? pin and am wondering:
    a) age and origin?
b)if the blue fins are enamel or something like lapis lazul, sodalite or maybe quartz? The close up shows some color variation that I can't tell if is age related or a characteristic of the stone?
You've all been a great help with figuring out these brooches/pins from my mom, I'm hoping you can do your magic once again! ????

Claire, it looks like the Blue in the Fins and Tail is cupped inward, so I would say Enamel, but the eye, I can't tell, it almost looks like there's 4 prongs holding a stone. The pin-back, looks rusty, so steel on that, might be made in Mexico. It has a very nice look though, I'd use a little 0000 steel-wool on the pin, and some clear nail polish so no chance of a little rust mark when pinning it on! :^D Not sure of the age maybe 1960-70's! Good Luck and thanks for showing! :^)

Sorry Eileen, I wouldn't have written anything if I would have seen you writing, but we were writing at the same time! :^D

I know Eileen, it's just nice to get some of that knowledge, that you've got stored in that head of yours! :^D Mine is all mixed together, takes a while to find two socks that match, and one normally has a hole in it?! &:^)

Eileen and Bill... You two are fonts of information! So glad to have your help figuring all this jewelry out; many thanks!
Bill, the eye on mine is a light green "gemstone"...looks like the one you found is missing it's eye gem. Otherwise, an exact match!
      Thank you both so much!

Eileen, I did a Google search on the Uncas pins...agree they are very similar! Maybe mine and the one Bill linked to are knock offs? Neither look like they ever had the Uncas stamp. Also, ours have a flat back & the Uncas ones I saw online are more of a hollowed out back?
Would love if anyone else knows more to chime in, as I feel like this mystery is about 90% solved; would love to know that last 10%!
