These, the Tile, and Pickle Fork, were both finds at the Flea Market on Saturday 06/27/2020. The antique Mintons China Works Stoke on Trent Pelleas 6"x 6" Tile, design by John Moyr Smith (1839-1912) from Tennyson's Idylls Of The King c1876
The Pickle Fork, from about the same 1870-1900 time, is unmarked, but I think Nickel/Silver, it has a Trident shape, with Hooks on the outside Tines, a twisted Shaft, and twist carved Bone/Ivory Handle make up the 8 3/6" length. :^D

Thank you for looking, all comments are welcome! :^)

Beautiful tile with great warrior scene, nice find Bill! Don't worry, in NY face masks are a way of life now, we are doing well & afraid to lose our edge on this scourge - on a humorous note though, every once in awhile I take a look around and imagine we're all working in an operating room, bypassing getting that medical degree lol :)

I love that beautiful pickle fork’s twisted design. Carving the handle must have required great skill.
I’m wearing my mask in public but I’m dismayed at the number of people who are not wearing them! And there are people I know who still say “it’s all blown out of proportion”....when I hear that, I wonder what it will take to make them believers.

Thanks Jenni, I didn't read Tennyson's Work, and not sure of the Scene on the Tile, but to me, it looks like the Worrier, is sneaking away, from an assassination, the way that his hands are poised, and the Sword is at the necks of the tw0 in the bed, but he could be running for help too! :^D We are keeping our Masks on, when ever we go outside, except in our own yard, but there's people that think they won't catch it, and do as they please, endangering everyone! :^( As far as Working?????? In a Hospital??????, first part Not! retired over ten years, and when I was working, I did work in several different Hospitals, helping Build them, and in fact, that was my last Job as a Carpenter! :^D Now I can't even see my Doctor in person, only on Zoom, or by phone! Oh well, live and learn, or die trying! Did I say that! :^D

Hey Patricia, after my comment about Jenni's comment, I'm not comfortable talking about a Pickle Fork! :^D Yes, carving that spiral, would've been hard then, even with a Lathe, it would be hard without breaking it, but today, it would be 3D printed, and look the same! :^D Yes I know, a lot of people that think that way about not wearing a Mask, but I'm very happy with the people at the Flea Market, rarely see someone not wearing a Mask. So far the Bowling Alley will be opening July 1st, with a lot of changes, I don't know how we'll be able to have Regular Leagues though, with the Distancing Required, but we'll do what we have to, so we can Bowl again! :^D

Thank you all for the love that you gave, Rich, Jenni, Vynil, Patricia, and Ken, it's appreciated! :^)

Hi Eileen, thank you for the love that you gave! :^D My older Son and his Wife, are moving to Goleta, Calif. in August, so we'll be going down to see them sometime after they get moved in, and depending on the COVID19 status. It's a 5 1/2hour drive, but it would be fun if we could meet, sometime while we're down there, do a Drive by! :^)
