Another exciting pair of postcards from the Madonna Inn near the the California Central Coast. The rock seen in these rooms are the side of the hill the rooms are built in.
First is Room 141 as it was in 1992. It has new carpet and is even more colorful (gaudy, way more but I like it). Still has the same basic color. Phyllis Madonna decorated it originally. Would like to see the rock waterfall shower which I am sure is online. Got a feeling this room aka suite is not free.
Next is the semi-suite Everything Nice, Room #252. This one is only a semi-suite but you can rent the connecting semi-suite for a full suite. The other semi-suite being Sugar and Spice. It is decorated in Victorian style with a natural rock wall.
Got some Santa's Village Postcards coming up so stay tuned!
What room would you book if you were staying there?
Gaudy fits the "new rich". LOL
Thank you very much elanski. I think I would pick the Caveman room.
Thank you very much keramikos. Yes it is good tacky tasteless fun. I'll have to check out the Swiss Belle. Maybe I can afford that one. Some are as low as $195 a night.
Thank you very much bb2. You can live like the new rich.
Just right for Silicone Valley people. LOL ! Doubt even our French tourist would like it.
bb2 sillycone valley needs to be near a gastropub at all times in semi-urban environment.
Don't think you would see anything like this in "the South", unless you mean south of the border.
Perhaps Rhett would have liked a room at the Madonna Inn.
Maybe Poncho Villa. LOL ! Certainly not Rhett. Maybe the Gov. of CA or the mayor of LA.
Thank you very much Ms.CrystalShip. Very interesting that you knew Phyllis Madonna. Guess it is a bit of a small town atmosphere along the central coast.
