Hello CW, tonight I’d like to share a cool Martin Maier I recently acquired. It’s pretty much identical to my MM with alligator tin, albeit with a floral tin pattern. I have to admit, I really love these MM trunks!! Starting the restoration soon, I’ll post the results. Enjoy it in its 140+ year old glory for now!
Thanks!!
Thanks for the love Blunderbuss2
Super cool double latch lock on that.
Nice to see something besides alligator tin.
A turtle top or very close to it is different for sure for a MM . Nice find!!
If I recall correctly I believe the pattern is called something like Goose berry??
Thanks Fortapache, thanks Brian!
Im4anythingOld -- thanks for your comments! The tin is a nice change! Want does a turtle top mean? I'm still pretty new to trunking and am not familiar with the term.
Thanks!
This is the only one I have.

It has a dome top but peters out at the ends as a flat top which I think... now that I look at it mine is a little more flat than yours but very similar characteristics.
Thanks for sharing, always good to learn about different styles.
Thanks Fatboy & Drill!!
I wasn't here 3 days ago.
Thanks to anyone else who liked or commented. Blunderbuss2, you were the first one to like this post. Not sure what happened there!
The restoration has begun, I will post photos once it’s completed.
Thanks
Probably those bloody jumbies playing tricks again.
