Just some Bowling Memories of my past!
I started Bowling regularly in High School, 1969, and up until the March 17th, 2020 COVID19 State of California stay at home order, I would rarely miss even a week without Bowling at least once, even after an Appendectomy on a Friday night in 1974, after I was discharged from the Hospital, on Monday morning, and my Friend stopped by and we went Bowling, mainly just to see if I could do it! :^D I did, and didn't even split my stitches! :^o
I squeaked by a 278, with a 279 to win Men's High Scratch Game on the last night League Bowling in 1980! But, when my Wife went to the Hospital with Labor Pains, in 1987, they admitted Her, but said it would not happen, until the next day, so I went Bowling(It Was League Night!) My wife encouraged me to, besides! :^D
I got my first sanctioned 300 game on August 20th 2013 at 58yrs old, and still waiting for my 4th, but after not Bowling a game in over 4 months, and not knowing how long that it's going to be to get back it, all I can do is hope, for another 300! :^D
The 1980-81 Walnut Bowl, Diablo Scratchers Team Photo of "Roll Another One" our Death Strike Shirts( I had the Cowboy Hat on) It was the thing, at the time! I met my Wife in that Hat! :^D I was just a Carpenter though, sat on a Sawhorse, if that counts!
When Walnut Bowl Closed, our League that was Sponsored by "Kessler" "Smooth as Silk" moved us to Earl Anthony's Danville Bowl, everyone on the League was given the Burgundy Shirt, to wear, when Bowling on the League, advertising the PBA OPEN at Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl, we asked if we got a discount on "Kessler", and they laughed so we drank Jack Daniel's instead! :^D
Just some Bowling Memories! :^D

'Ya know, Bill, now that I think of it, an actual "bowling ball" is an item that's oddly missing from all my various collections. I have a 'pin' or two here somewhere anyways...?? <LOL>
[and you BET I'm wearing my mask, trying to keep myself and everybody else safe...]
Thanks my #1 Mary, if you notice I'm not the tallest on our Team, but with that Cowboy Hat, I stood out on the Dance Floor, and that's where I met Sally! :^D That Shirt of your Dad's, might have turned a few heads, a few years ago, but now anything goes, a real Company or not, just Search "Bowling Team Names"! That was Cool that you still had it to wear, and still have it! Love to see it! :^D
Oh really Tim, I only have about 20 or more Bowling Balls, but you can usually find the older, but not Vintage ones for cheap $2.-$3. I've seen them put together as garden art Caterpillars, they're kind of fun! :^D
bb2 was here, and my #1 Mary too, and bringing a love, like I know Tim meant to! :^D Thank you all! Please Wear a Mask, and keep us all Safe! :^)
Sorry Tim, you loved this long ago! Thanks again! :^D
Thank you Kevin for stopping by with a love, it's nice of you! Stay Safe, and Wear a Mask! :^)
I'm waiting for it my #1 Mary! Thanks! :^D Before we were Married, I found a pair of used hand tooled Leather made in Mexico Bowling Bags, for Sally and I, they looked almost new, and lasted longer than any other Bowling Bag I've had, but when you Bowl 3 or 4 more, times a week, even the Best Bags wear out! Take Care # # # and Wear a Mask! :^)
