    Saw this last week in back room of Thrift shop.Been back every day since waiting for it to get priced and brought out to floor.Couldnt wait anymore and told them I wasn't sleeping and I had to have it.It worked.They went to back room ....wiped it down and brought it out to my truck.Guess I'm a good talker

      They did a lot of this style during the 20's to 30's copying the Italian Renaissance style and adorning the piece with add on carvings mainly. There is lots of this style if you look at old catalogs from the later 20's to about 1950 of Sears or Eatons in Canada.

      No matter its actual age/style/etc -- I'd have likewise 'stalked' that thing at the thrift store myself just as you report you did. CONGRATULATIONS on a successful effort!!!! :-) :-) :-) <LOL>
