I just got this stamped tin trunk. I'm not really sure how to date this one as it has no information on it beyond monogrammed latches (AX). The lock is incomplete (though it appears to have been previously replaced) and two metal casters are missing. The interior decorated paper is missing except on the lid. Traces of the old pattern exist.
Any one know the age and maker? Supposedly it was bought new in New Jersey around the TOC. How best to clean the tin?
