      Thank you for any information... much appreciated. .. as I just couldn't find anything online anywhere.... lots of table top portable ones but no units as such. I may see if I can get a value somewhere.

      I'd have to think that is indeed a rather rare thing, being only a console reel to reel tape player vs. the much more common radio/phonograph combo units also made in its possible time frame (and later, by them or many other mfr's) whatever that actually is. GRUNDIG is/was a basically German company known for producing overly high quality electronic products (of whatever variety) in their day -- that ID tag in your pic 4 will likely be your best place to start to research it further.
