Made by "E.D. BULLARD" COMPANY of San Francisco, model "MM". According to the label inside its lid, it seems to have been designed for use on a lifeboat/raft of some variety. It measures about 10" square and its interior is divided in half, now only containing a fabric strap tourniquet (?), some kind of roll of red colored tape, and a few rusty safety pins. It latches securely on all sides with a well gasketed lid and handle one one side.
I have no idea whatsoever how old it really is, but I've probably had it for at least 30yrs myself. No doubt picked up somewhere cheap, just because I thought (still do!) that it was kinda cool...?? ;-) :-) :-)
