When I, within the last three weeks' time, purchased this lovely photo frame, the border was dingy and dull, and the enamelled motif, nearly inconspicuous. Soft cleanser and a silver jewellery cloth restored the coruscant appeal of the silver-plated brass piece. The backing with the attached fishtail easel does not firmly attach to the frame, for one of the metal prongs has, at an earlier time, sundered. The star-shaped hallmark amidst the woven web--a play on web-star--and a mould number are appositely centred.

      Actually a very nice image.

Looks to be a copy image of a tintype or ambrotype as the hairstyle and fashion are 1850s- 60s and before the image format.
