another Oddity that I've owned for years now. Not even sure where I got it? I imagine it was at a garage sale for very cheap. I have always admired the skill that it took to pull this off. I wish I had about a dozen more of these ...super cool!

Made in Bali, Indonesia it was skillfully carved from a "wood rose," a mushroom-like parasitic formation created by a mistletoe plant growing on a chinaberry tree
The first picture is after I waxed it with some beeswax. I make sure to treat all my wood products every few months.
Appears to be a root wood carving from Bali, Indonesia.
Good information. I used those parameters to search and only found 1 example. A carved pig that looked similar.
