An item I've been admiring for a while locally, this Art Nouveau inkwell is now part of my collection.
It is missing its metal lid, but that's why I could afford it! Still a lovely piece, despite the issue, & I hope to come up with an innovative solution to the lack of a lid in the future.
It is made from green glass with an intense iridescent finish. The pattern has panels of festoons alternating with stripes. I really like the way that the base is so elegantly finished - it looks like a medallion or mandala.
Measures around 10 cm across the base & around 3 cm tall.
Possibly by Kralik. Bohemian for sure!

Maybe its just me being my normal weird self, and the hole in its top probably isn't the right size for any regular fixture, but I still think I'd be inclined to try to make some little 'base' with a tiny light bulb attached, to display this piece upside down as a 'faux lamp globe'...as pretty as it is just sitting there amongst your flowers, I bet it'd also look kinda cool "lit up from within, upside down"...?? ;-) :-) :-) <lol>

Nice thought AO, it would look great!

I really like the top down view too Marin. Special.

That's an interesting idea for sure, AnythingObscure!
I did neglect to mention the size of this item - it is 10 cm across the base & only just over 3 cm tall, so it's quite small (looks bigger in my close up photos).

      Thanks also, Karen! :-)
It is rather nice when you can enjoy a piece of glass from an unexpected aspect - not all pieces have such a pleasing "bottom" (LOL)

Looks like Kralik 'Draped' to me. A plain silver collar might work?

Many thanks, Bambus1920! Yes, was thinking about a collar for it myself - could be a simple & elegant solution...
