Picked this up today with some other items. it's a metal handmade mask.

It has a metal stub attached to the back to hang it or display it. I used to play a lot of pool so I have several junky pool cues laying around. I cut a small piece and attached it so I can display it up right. And of course I waxed it up with some beeswax to preserve it.
It also had a weird metal Burr below one of the nostrils. it was bugging me so I got out some files and fixed it. I don't believe this is an antique or worth a lot of money. It will only be displayed for my personal pleasure so I fixed it.
I believe this is a death mask
That's what I thought at first but death masks are made of wax or plaster cast. And the mask is too small. If you look at examples, you will see they cover the entire head and ears.
